I know I’ve been lax on keeping everyone up to date. Things are finally starting to slow down a little, but not enough yet.
Exciting news at the storefront! We are getting our windows this summer! I’m excited. That means that we will be able to create displays that can be seen from outside!
I’ve been able to sit outside on the sidewalk and weave several times this month. Those are actually my best sales days. Too bad the weather doesn’t always want to cooperate with that. There’s also all the days that I have to be inside to take product photos and make pricing tags and all that other stuff that just isn’t practical to do outside.
I have to admit that even with how much I miss the people, I don’t miss the work involved with setting up at the market.
I have been obsessed with weaving the pattern above the past few weeks. Two sets sold almost as soon as I boxed them!
I’m also working on a new price tagging idea… I’m putting ring counts and time to weave on every chainmaille item from here on out. I haven’t figured out how to do sewn items this way as of yet.
One of my most regular customers brought me a beautiful Swiss Blue Topaz faceted stone and asked me to wrap it to match a chain I had woven for her a couple of years ago. Luckily I had just enough rings left to get it done! I can’t even express how beautiful it turned out. My pictures do not do it justice.
I think that’s enough information dump for one week. I’ll try to be better about updates, but you know me, life gets in the way…
