We may struggle, but life moves on anyway…
If you’ve been following my blog or even my Facebook page, you know that we were short $180 last month, then the estimated gas bill came in…we ended the month $240.00 short of paying the rent and utilities. We ended up borrowing the money so we are starting this month even farther behind. My instincts are telling me that if we can make it through this year we will be fine, but this year has been a struggle and I expect the rest of the year will continue to be the same.
On the bright side, we have the new sign almost finished! All it needs is a protective clear coat, that we will be putting on today. I really do like the way it turned out, now if we could just get word of when the windows will be installed.
The family reunion was awesome as always. It’s always good to see family and friends. The tote bag was a major hit. As always my cousin Shane won the portrait that I painted. There was lots of food, dirt bikes, ATV riding, conversation and so much more.
I have aluminum and acrylic blanks coming tomorrow to engrave on. I’m planning on some Rushford Lake, Cuba Lake, and Belfast dog tag key chains. I’m even working on an idea for the America’s 250th! Do you have some ideas that you’d like to see on them? Let me know! I also need to know how much would you be willing to pay for one?
I have so many ideas and just not enough hours in a day that I’m functionable to create them all. It seems like I get an idea for an engraving, sit down at the computer to work it out and my brain shuts off. Same thing for new embroidery ideas. Eventually I’ll get some lanyards created as well.
I have started a new necklace, earring and bracelet set, but haven’t had the time to work on it this week.
This week’s funny was vacuuming our bedroom… I got out the vacuum, glanced at the canister, it looked empty so I started vacuuming the rug. It wasn’t picking much up, so I pulled off the canister…let me tell you that poor thing was packed with so much cat hair that hair and dust just flew when I removed it. I had to pull the hair out because it was packed in there so tight… You know how I’ve written that just doesn’t express how frustratingly funny it was at the time.
